FundingEarly Years Funding for 3 & 4 Year olds
Oak Tree is a willing participant of the Early Years Funding Scheme and has been for the last few years. The scheme provides nursery funding for 3 and 4 year olds up to 15 funded hours per week for 38 weeks from the council or up to 570 hours per year or 30 funded hours per week or 1140 hours per year. Since we are a full day care setting and we offer childcare all year round, we are able to be flexible on how we deliver this to you. Oak Tree has decided to offer your entitlement stretched over 51 weeks at 11 hours per week or 22 hours hours per week respectively Monday to Thursday. Our aim is to provide you with the maximum number of hours you are entitled to per week and we have not restricted this to particular hours per day.
The entitlement for your child is dependent on the age they turn 3 years and guidelines given by the authorities are as follows:-
If your child turns 3 years of age between the following terms, the council use this as a guideline
1st January and 31st March they will be entitled to funding from 1st April
1st April and 31st August they will be entitled to funding from 1st September
1st September and 31st December they will be entitled to funding from 1stJanuary
Funding is automatically accounted for in your monthly fee the term after your child has turned 3 years of age as shown above.
For the period of 1st September 2017 to 31st August 2018 the maximum amount of funding a child can receive 15 hours of funding is approx. £2622 per year over 51 weeks equivalent to 11 hours per week. The funded hours at Oak Tree are between Monday to Thursday only. A minimum of two sessions will be needed to obtain maximum allowance.
For the period of 1st September 2017 to 31st August 2018 the maximum amount of funding a child can receive is approx. £5244 per year over 51 weeks equivalent to 22 hours per week for the maximum 30 funded hours. The funded hours at Oak Tree are between Monday to Thursday only. Minimum of 3 full days 8am to 6pm will be needed to obtain maximum allowance.
For the 15 hours of funding or the 11 hours per week for 51 weeks, as we will deliver this to you, your eligibility is dependent on a signed declaration form confirming that your child attends Oak Tree, the sessions they do and if they attend any other setting as you can only claim for one setting.
30 hours funding
From Sept 2017, the government has introduced the 30 hours of available funding. This is an extended entitlement of an additional 15 hours to the above scheme but based on your household income. To be eligible for this extended entitlement of 15 hours you will need to meet the criteria as details in the pdfs below.
